Malpractice in the psychiatric practice is a sinful offense. This is because the patients coming to the psychiatrist believe that they would become normal but when a patient is being treated wrongly then it becomes malpractice and the patient can make a charge against the false psychiatrist. The psychiatric medical practitioners have certain rules that have to be followed while treating the patients. When these rules are being violated by the psychiatric medical practitioner then the patient can file a charge against the psychiatrist.

When the charge against the psychiatrist is proved then the punishment for the malpractice would be given and it varies according to the mistake done by the psychiatrist. The basic rule of every medical practitioner is that he must not the information of the patient to anyone without the permission of the patient. When any psychiatrist violates this rule, it means that the right of the patient is being deprived and thus the patient can file a charge against the psychiatrist. Also other than this many offenses such as giving medicines that are banned by the government and providing poor quality treatment can be charged.
There are many ways of malpractice that may occur in the psychiatric field. The relationship between the psychiatric medical practitioner and the patient has to be maintained good. The psychiatrist should not just be keen on earning money but he must also try to solve the problem of the patient. Also the patient should not be disturbed often and this when violated can be filed as a charge.
